Hairstyles for curly hair

You've brushed, pressed and used a series of other products in the hope that it will help your curly hair stay in place. However, more often than not, you end up cursing your hair because that doesn't happen.

But what if we told you it's time to embrace your curls? Do away with the flat iron and read on to know the curly haircuts that will work for you.

If you have fine to medium hair with tight curls, get a long haircut with layers.

Why: Curlier the hair, the longer they should be. The length helps in defining the curls. Taper the hair at the end with layers.

If you have thick wavy hair, get medium to long haircuts, with minimal layers.

Why: Short and wavy hair don't go well together as you need something to weigh down your mane. The length will provide styling flexibility. Also, long layers break up the hair. This ensures that it doesn't get too heavy at the bottom.

If you have thick, very tight curls, get a shoulder-length pageboy cut with longer layers at the end.

Why: Hair length that makes the mane reach one's shoulders works for people with very tight curls. It's not lengthy enough for the hair to become unmanageable, and not short enough to get too big.
