10 Makeup Tips That Nobody Told You About PART 10 !

Every girl has her beauty secrets for perfect nails, hair and make-up. Here I have for you some of my favourite beauty tips and tricks that really work and I personally have been using for such a long time.

1. Fix broken lipstick

Let’s face it – at some point in our lives we all have had to deal with the “broken lipstick” problem. Don’t throw it away .There is a way to fix it and it’s very simple – just melt it a bit with a hairdryer or lighter , even out the broken edges, put it in the fridge overnight and voilĂ  – your lipstick will be as good as new!

2. Keep lipstick of your lips

Here I have 2 tips for making your teeth lipstickless.
The first one is used by celebrities and girls in beauty pageants and it’s very simple – just run some vaseline over your teeth before you put on lipstick and you’re good to go.
The second one may sound a bit strange but it helps a lot. Apply lipstick, put your finger in your mouth and pull it out! That way, all the lipstick in the inside of your lips will be gone and you won’t have to worry that your teeth may turn red in the middle of the day!

3. Use mascara as eyeliner

Imagine this – Friday night, you’re going out with your girlfriends and you just started doing your make-up. But you’re out of eyeliner! If this happens way too often, this beauty trick is for you! You just have to rub your eyeliner brush on the mascara brush and you’re good to go! Bonus tip: if you don’t have an eyeliner brush, you can melt an eyeliner pencil with a lighter, wait several minutes to cool completely and apply like you normally would apply you eyeliner.

4. The business card trick

Put a business card on your eyelid, hold your eyelid up and apply mascara as usual. This way, the card will protect your eyelids from getting mascara all over them and you won’t have to remove  your eye make-up and doing it again. Bonus tip: You can use business cards to fill in your brows, make a “cat eye” or even apply blush and bronzer on your cheeks.

   5. Shave legs with conditioner

You don’t need much explanation for this one. Just use some hair conditioner (it doesn’t have to be an expensive one) instead of shaving cream and it will prevent dryness of the skin and make the hair grow slower.

  6. Make perfume last longer

This one is another vaseline tip. As strange as it sounds, if you want to make your perfume last longer, just rub a little vaseline on your skin before you spray the perfume.

  7. Drying hair with T-shirt

If your hair is frizzy and you have split ends, this tip is for you. It may sound ridiculous, but the cure for these 2 things is drying you hair with a simple cotton T-shirt.

  8. Using a toothbrush in your hair routine

This beauty trick involves using a toothbrush in your daily hair routine. If you have flyaways that ruin your perfect hairstyle just hairspray and old toothbrush and “comb” them back. It’s easy, fast and cheap and your hairstyle will look as if it’s made by a professional. Another thing you can do with a toothbrush is tease your hair. It’s like teasing it with a comb and if you don’t have one in hand, the toothbrush is the perfect substitute.

  9. Perfect French manicure

After you apply your base coat and wait for it to dry, put a Band Aid over most of your nail, leaving the tip open so you can paint on it. Then apply a nail polish of your choice over the tip and you’re done.

  FRENCH MAN

  10.Fix broken powder

Now you can fix broken powders, blushesh or even eve shadows by mixing the broken pieces with some rubbing alcohol and pouring the mixture in a container (the old one if it’s not broken). Leave them to settle overnight and in the morning you’ll have perfectly good make-up!

Wine therapy for beauty !

Wine facials have become very popular in India. Wine has been used for centuries as a natural skin care treatment. Homemade masks and toners made from wine can help exfoliate and remove skin problems.

Wine also makes an interesting topical skin care treatment, since it contains such a wide range of substances that can be beneficial for troubled skin.

Every wine has a slightly different composition, and different varieties are useful for particular skin types. Dry skin types may wish to choose a sweet wine with plenty of sugar for water-binding purposes. Acne-prone skin will do better with red wine, since its high concentration of the polyphenol resveratrol may act to reduce inflammation while reversing or preventing free radical damage. Those with extremely flaky skin should choose dry wine, which has a greater concentration of the natural called malic, tartaric, and citric acid.

For dry, flaky body skin, mix 1 cup dry red wine with 1 cup of water. Pour into a spray bottle, and apply all over after a shower or bath. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse. Particularly flaky skin may benefit from mixing ¼ cup of dry white wine with 1 cup white vinegar and adding ¼ to ½ cup of this liquid to bathwater.

For dry skin, mix 3 tablespoons sweet red wine with ½ tablespoon aloe vera gel and one tablespoon runny honey Apply to face and neck, and rinse off after 10 minutes or so.

For oily skin and acne, blend 3 tablespoons red wine with some yogurt and use as a facial mask.

For sensitive skin, use white wine; the natural preservative tannin in red wines may prove too irritating to reddened facial skin. Boil a soothing herb like chamomile in the white wine for 10 minutes.Acne-prone skin may benefit from use of dry red wine straight from the bottle as a toner.

Wine therapy for spa

Wine and traditional spa treatments are now being combined to offer consumers a fresh approach to skincare and relaxation.wine not only tastes good - it's also good for your skin.Wine therapy removes dry skin and increases circulation with a foamy, vitamin-rich scrub of sea salt and wine, followed by a warm wine massage. Filled with nourishing vitamins Grapes, and their seeds and vines, contain some of nature's most powerful antioxidants, helping to account for the hottest trend in the spa industry cleansing their faces with Merlot wraps, exfoliating with crushed.Cabernet scrubs, and soaking themselves in vats of spring water treated with the extract of red grape vines, all of which help soothe, moisturise and protect the skin. It appears Cleopatra was on to something when she bathed in tubs of wine 2,000 years ago.

Wine grapes contain natural antioxidants called polyphenols that exfoliate, detoxify, cool inflammation, and soften and repair damaged skin. Sixty percent of extractable grape polyphenols are in the grade seed. Thirty percent are in the grape skin and less than 10 percent are in the pulp.

Resveratrol is a type of polyphenol found in the skin of the grape. Red and purple grapes have significantly more resveratrol than green grapes.

Bedtime beauty essentials

Here's a list of beauty products your must have for your nighttime regime, before sleeping:

- To prevent cracked and chapped lips, applying a lip balm before sleeping is essential. This will help hydrate your lips throughout the night and when you wake up in the morning, you will have supple soft lips!

- For those who wake up frizzy, unmanageable hair in the morning, it is essential to use a hair serum the night before. Ideally, apply the serum on damp hair and leave it overnight. You will notice the difference in the morning.

- Don't forget to apply a hand cream on your palms and fingers before you hit the bed. This is especially helpful in winters, so that you get smooth hands when you wake up.

- If the skin around your eyes is getting wrinkles or is darkening, only getting your daily dose of beauty sleep may not be enough. Apply a good quality under-eye serum on the skin around your eyes, so that you get that fresh, youthful look.

Beauty unmasked

Women all over the world are putting their bare face forward. Going out without make-up is the new beauty standard. Times Life tells you why.

In the past few months, women, who usually wouldn't want to be caught dead without foundation or a dash of lipstick even when grocery shopping, are unabashedly flooding Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with their no make-up selfies. If this trend is anything to go by, chapped lips, blemished cheeks and under-eye bags are no more considered beauty faux pas.

It all began when American author Laura Lippman tweeted a photo of herself without make-up, to support 81-year-old actress Kim Novak, who was criticised for her bare face appearance at this year's Oscars. Soon, it snowballed into a no makeup selfie campaign, which ended up raising several million pounds for a cancer research institute in the UK.

BEYOND A HASHTAG:

But it went viral when international icons like Beyonce, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kim Kardashian, Zooey Deschanel, Adele, amongst many others, started sharing their selfies. Millions of women followed suit, tweeting their barefaced looks. Closer home, Bollywood's glam divas Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, divas Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chop Sunny Leone and Neha Dhupia also joined the bandwagon by sharing their make-up-free selfies. Hailed as the `new beauty standard' by the New York Times, experts say this no-make-up movement may be a part of a bigger fashion culture - normcore. Normcore is a `come as you are' basic style, where the fashionable purposely try to dress unfashionable. International makeup expert Ishika Taneja says french women are opting for a similar look. Though it's not completely barefaced, but it does with minimal make-up. "This make-up style is invisible on the face, yet highlights the features.

It's done using fewer products, such as tinted moisturiser, transparent mascara, lip stain and cheek tint. It's subtle but nevertheless gives the wearer confidence."

At international fashion runways, the `scrubbed face' look is the frontrunner nowadays. From Alexande Wang to Balmain, Emilio Pucci to Diane von Furstenberg, models have been sporting the minimal or no make-up look. In France too make-up artists created muted runway looks for designers like Atithi Gupta, Sneha Arora and Daniel Syiem. To p n o t c h fashion maga zines have put top stars on their covers sans make-up in the last few months. For eg, British culinary expert Nigella Lawson posed for the cover of Vogue with mini mal make-up. Hollywood superstar Penelope Cruz and popstar Lady Gaga posed sans make-up on the covers of Elle and Bazaar, respectively.

In France too, the barefaced look is be coming a serious fashion statement.

For a latest glamour magazine photo shoot, Neha Dhupia posed for the camera in a make-up free look! Dhupia, who is often seen making public appearances without makeup, says, "I am very organic in my thinking, and the same applies to my beauty regime. I belong to the school of thinking that believes a woman looks far more beautifu with a few imperfections, than she would, if she just wore make-up and looked like a perfect wax statue! Even when I step out for event without make-up or post pictures online, I don't worry what the world is going to say, because I don't think I need to be constantly caked up, just because I am a woman. We are living in the 21st century and we need to redefine our definition of `beautiful', which I hope this trend will do."

WOMEN EMBRACING IT:

Make-up artists, beauty editors, bloggers and actresses are collectively pegging going make-up free as `a show of confidence'. Says Rukshana Eisa, an image expert, "There's something about wearing no make-up that's oddly freeing. There's no pressure to look good, which is sort of a relief. Most importantly, it displays your level of self-belief. A woman who has the guts to walk out barefaced in public is definitely seen as one who exudes confidence."

Popular fashion blogger Leandra Medine, who often receives flak (and has even been described as man repeller!) for going barefaced all the time, explains her reasons. "I'm not making a state ment. I don't wear make-up be cause I am lazy! More important than that though, I am comfortable with how I look. I don't hate what I see in the mirror."

For some, the practicality is tempting. The trend is also low maintenance and saves time and effort. Anita Desai, a banker and mother of two, stopped wearing make-up after the birth of her second child. "The first few days, I felt vulnerable, but I saved time not fussing on my looks. It's only when you go off make-up that you realise how much pressure you put on your self," she says.

According to a paper published in the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology, both men and women find women most attractive with 40 per cent less make-up than they normally wear. Researchers asked 44 women to put on makeup as if they were going out for a night out, and then altered the photos to show less make-up. The sample group, comprising men and women, preferred the images in which the women were wearing around 40 per cent less make-up.

Says model-actor Rahul Dev, "I find it refreshing to look at a no make-up face instead of someone who is wearing false eyelashes.

It's interesting to see a trend, which defies false impressions of beauty, catch up. It's a strong voice against industries which set unrealistic beauty standards for women."

Beauty regime for brides-to-be

Your wedding day is just a few months away and all that you have been doing so far is the endless shopping and running around.

Though you might have shopped for the best dress and perfect jewellery, if you are going to be stressed on your big day, then all the hard work that you have put in to look your best will go down the drain. With the pressure mounting on the brides-to-be to look gorgeous, don't forget to take care of your body amid all the chaos. We offer you some tips...

Choose the right facial and skin treatments:

It is time to make those salon appointments as your wedding day is getting closer. Start treatments for your face at least three months before your big day. While there are plenty of skin treatments and facials to choose from, it is advisable to go with something that suits your skin. Get your skin analyzed by a senior beauty specialist and choose your bridal package accordingly.

Go for regular massages:

You are bound to be stressed during the process of your wedding. So, it is important to go for regular massages and body spas. It not just rejuvenates your body, but also tightens your skin.

Hair spa and haircuts:

Trim your hair regularly. In case you are thinking of getting a hair cut, you must do that at least three months before your wedding. Also, go for regular hair spas to keep your hair strong and healthy. If you have dry or oily hair, get a hair treatment customized by your hair specialist.

Get manicure/ pedicure:

It is important to keep your nails clean after your engagement. Friends and relatives will keep asking you to flash your ring, and it might get embarrassing if you have a chipped nail. So, keep your nails sparkling and get manicure and pedicure done regularly.

Make appointments with your dentist:

You have to flash that million dollar smile a million times on your wedding day. So, opt for teeth whitening treatment before your wedding day.

Go for a makeup trial:

Your beautician might suggest you a makeup or hairdo off the look-book, but it is important to go for a makeup trial before the wedding. It might cost some bucks, but it is necessary to do so to avoid looking like a Christmas tree on your big day. Take your outfit, and spend some time finding out the hairdo and the look you want to sport on your wedding day.
