Simple ways to cure a headache



A headache can be caused by many factors, be it stress, fluctuating hormones or even a drinking session that results in hangover the next day. Here are some ways to dim that throbbing pain in your head.


1. Drink ginger tea: 

With its high medicinal value, ginger is a good option to reduce the inflammation and provide relief from headache. Add some grated ginger to boiling water while making your tea.

2. Acupressure therapy: 

One of the age-old headache remedies, acupressure therapy helps to cure headache. Try pressure points at the nape of your neck.

3. Sniff lavender:

According to several studies, headaches can be alleviated by sniffing lavender essential oils.

4. Listen to music:

According to 2001 study, music therapy is said to beneficial for chronic headaches.

 

5. Use an icepack: 

Quite the literal way to cool down, placing an ice pack on the top of your head may relieve a headache.

6. Chomp on pumpkin seeds:

According to studies, pumpkin seeds are high in magnesium sulfate, that can relieve all types of headaches.

7. Go for a run: 

Even a brisk 10-minute walk in your building compound will help release endorphins, that have natural pain and stress fighting properties.


8. Meditate: 

Sit in a quiet, comfortable corner, close your eyes, relax and concentrate on your breathing.

9. Take a warm shower: 

Get under a shower and put your head under lukewarm water.
