Have you taken the 45-minute vacation?

Blame it on our time-strapped routines, but almost everything today is getting crunched down, your vacation included.

Say hello to the 45-minute mind holiday you can take right at home. While it cannot be an alternative to the complete holiday, say at the beach, the short-term one is being hailed as quite effective too!

What you need:

- Gripping novel
- Fave nail polish
- A small tub of warm water
- Peppermint salts for the tub
- Fluffy towel 1
- Fave beverage — chilled
- Music and food — of your choice

What to do:

Start by secluding yourself in a cosy little niche (the more picturesque, the better). Switch off all gadgets. Turn on the soft music. Now, take the straw and take a deep sip of the drink. Alongside, dip your feet in the warm water and add salts to the tub. Ease back and open the book.

This the first step toward your mind break. After about 20 minutes, ease the feet out and towel dry them. Paint your toenails and keep sipping. Let yourself slowly disconnect from the outside world. Finally, tuck into your food. If this short break doesn't add up to a sense of tranquility, nothing will.
