Makeup How-To: Soft and Natural Eyeshadow

 1. Apply a light taupe shadow over your entire eyelid.

Model Brooke Shunatona, Cosmopolitan.com's assistant beauty and fashion editor, applied MAC's Eyeshadow in Taupe over her eyelid, deepening the color toward her lashline.

2. Line your eyes with black gel liner.

Dip an eyeliner brush into a black gel liner, likeRimmel London's Scandal Eyes Waterproof Gel Liner, and run it along your top lashline, increasing thickness of line as you inch toward the outer corner of your eye.

3. Intensify your cat eye at the outer corners.

Use the same gel liner and a flat-tip eyeshadow brush to add product to your lower lashline from the center out toward the outer corner of your eye. "Make sure the upper and lower line meets at the outer corner of your eye to ensure the liner looks seamless," Cosenzasays.

4. Finish with a light pink lipstick.

Apply a soft pink lipstick, like Benefit's Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Dandelion, and then finish with MAC's Cream Color Base in Luna as a highlighter over the Cupid's bow and on the center of the lower lip.

Done and done. To boost this look for nighttime, blend a deeper brown shadow shade into the crease of your eye and go!
